What this site collects. It is not much.
No accounts
carrierdepth has no sign-in. County search, ZIP lookup and the decoder run in your browser against static files, and what you type into them is not sent to us.
Analytics
The site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects standard usage data such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser. You can block it with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on or any content blocker; the site works the same without it.
Location
"Use my location" asks your browser for your position only when you press it. The position is matched to a county on your own device, against county boundaries downloaded from this site. Your coordinates are never sent to carrierdepth or to anyone else, and nothing is stored.
Advertising
The site is funded by Google AdSense. When ads are enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings, and learn how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Server logs
The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes standard request data (IP address, user agent) to deliver pages and stop abuse.
